About Us
Capital Milestones Child Care (CMCC) is incorporated as an independent not-for-profit, worksite child care center providing priority child care service to New York State employees and University at Albany (SUNY) faculty, staff, and students. This worksite Center is part of a larger network serving State employees across New York. The Center was formed in 2016 through a merger of Carol A. Dunigan Day Care, Campus Children’s Center, and U-Kids Child Care Center. These programs each had a rich history of service with over 30 years in the field of early care and education. If space allows, community children will be accepted into the program as well.
New York State, through the Office of General Services, provided the beautiful building and playground, and supports the Center with daily maintenance of the facility.
The Center strives to provide a safe, happy, stimulating, healthy, and nurturing environment for the children and their families. The climate of each classroom will promote love, self-confidence, and mutual respect. The Center recognizes each child is unique, and the program encourages each child to explore and investigate at his or her own pace. Each child is surrounded by resources to stimulate curiosity, promote knowledge, and foster pride in individual accomplishments. The classroom environment encourages cognitive development, problem solving, and language arts and creativity, as well as physical, social, and emotional growth.
